They need support and healthy ways to cope with the crisis.

Your young adult is just starting college but they are struggling with their independence and confidence. One minute they need you like their child again, desperately seeking advice, support and comfort of home. The next, they are pushing you out, needing space, wanting to just live their own lives. You feel torn between wanting to support and nurture them, and wanting them to learn to face the real world.

Or maybe you are struggling to keep your family afloat while also attending to your own needs. Perhaps your needs are often overlooked or sacrificed in order to meet the needs of others. Maybe it’s time to create better boundaries, to cultivate self-compassion, and to work on finding who you truly are.
